Sapiens provided real-time, high-resolution detection of key Odourants including H2S, NH3, and TVOCs for the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department of HKSAR Government, empowering them to understand and manage odour issues in the waterfronts.

By strategically deploying monitors MAS near potential sources and analysing meteorological data, Sapiens' solutions enable effective prevention and mitigation of odorous gases, safeguarding the well-being of local communities.

Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department conducted a series of investigations with Sapiens' sensor to find out the source of the stench. Several NAS and MAS were strategically deployed in Tsuen Wan region near the potential odor sources, including to harbour running track, walking trail and park, providing real-time ordour information to the organization for evidence-based decision. The combination of odour monitors with meteorological analysis also assists the effective odor management and prevention for local community.

This long-term project, along with other surveys, such as the Ad hoc intensive H2S monitoring of the drain cap, provides a better understanding of odour formation and elimination.
